Making good progress now. The main structure is established and I’ve started to upload images of paintings. I suspect that assembling some interesting text might prove to be the most difficult part of the project.
Setting up this blog/website has been quite a struggle and has occupied me for many hours. I borrowed two books from the public library – “Blogging for Dummies” and “WordPress in Depth”. Both are excellent books, but as tuition manuals for creating a website with Menus and Galleries to display images, they are not very helpful. Eventually I discovered the online support section of WordPress, and using that, I was able to make some slow progress.
Even though I’ve been using computers for over 49 years, frequently on a daily basis, I found it quite difficult to follow the intructions. But, having learnt how to do it, I can see the logic of the instructions. It is a bit like sticky crosswords clues: when you see the answer you can (usually) understand the clue, but working from the clue can be impossible at times.
