About the paintings

Up to the present(September 2012) all my paintings have been done in watercolour.

As you will notice, almost every picture depicts people doing something, usually in a relaxed or holiday setting. This is because I believe that other people are just about the most important factor that there is in this world. Without other people there would be no family, no one to grow food, no one to cure our illness, no one to leave their car where we want to park our own.

I usually choose bright, cheerful colours in order to underline the easy-going scene. I hope the pictures will give a feeling of optimism and pleasure to viewers.

In principle they are all for sale. I would be willing to repaint those which have been sold, and also many of the older ones which were done at a time when my painting skill was less developed.

At the moment I have standardized on two frame sizes, namely

16″x20″ and 12″x16″.

 As a guide to prices

16″x20″ – £200

12″x16″ – £100

My paintings are occasionally on display at The Albany Gallery, and at Victoria Fearn Gallery in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.

And at Y Galeri, Caerphilly until October 6th.
